Our Mission

Building African American Minds teaches underserved children and adults how to achieve in the knowledge, attitudes, and skills necessary to maximize or augment their potential as responsible and productive citizens through academic, social and emotional learning programs.

BAAM empowers youth and adults through programs focused on academic enrichment, career exploration, social-emotional development, and lifelong learning opportunities that build strong individuals and stronger communities.

Youth and Students

Our Youth and Family Programs foster academic achievement, personal growth, and strong family engagement through enriching year-round support.

BAAM’s Health and Wellness Programs promote physical, mental, and emotional well-being through accessible resources, education, and community-based services.

BAAM’s Workforce Development Program equips youth and adults with the skills, training, and career connections needed to thrive in today’s job market.
